Keratin colored retractable claws.Waske is from the planet Syneltron. Syneltron has a so called electrosynaptical atmosphere, which has a constant flow of electricity through it, caused by a series of elements in the upper atmosphere that react in a looping chain. At one point in time, one element in the sky will always want more electrons. This creates an intense magnetic field around the planet that provides a unique protection from outside forces not seen anywhere else in the known universe. The phenomenon also makes pretty colors in the sky.THe Syneltrians cannot easily leave their planet, they must wait for the perfect time where there is a gap in the electromagnetic field, which only happens once every few years. Research into teleportation technology is actively being conducted.A protective barrier exists in the upper atmosphere that shields everything below from the effects of the electromagnetic field. Because of the lethal nature of the electromagnetic field, it cannot be studied directly and very little is known about it. For work, Waske develops cutting edge entanglement remote observation equipment (EROE) machines that entangle with particles in the upper atmosphere to allow the study of its effects at ground level.Waske had a rough life growing up but has found happiness and belonging in his new life, with multiple affectionate friendships.Waske is what is known as a “parensapsens”, meaning “absence of parents”. In a rare, little understood event, an instance, or sometimes an entire litter of the planet’s native anthro-feline species is manifested inside a cave deep inside the planet. These cats are indistinguishable from others physically, still maintaining full reproductive abilities. Waske is the only known queer parensapsens to date, and wears this tag proudly yet humbly.Not all parensapsens make it to the surface. It’s a rough trek through harsh environments, including extreme heat, unstable rocks, lava, and more. Waske got lucky and ended up being the only one from his litter to make it out.Upon reaching the surface, he was raised by a monastery for his early life, in which he found happiness and affection from his caretakers.Eventually, when he was 6 years old, the monastery adopted him out to a family. Unfortunately, this was the start of a long period of time spent bouncing between different families. He could not find a stable family to be a part of, as not many families cared that much for him. Eventually at age 14 he ended up on his own, after he had made enough money to afford a couple months rent.After he moved into his temporary place he was old enough to be employed, so he found a job at a local computer store, which provided enough income for him to afford rent.Waske was exceptionally bright, studying complex fields from a young age. When he became an adult and graduated high school, he was given a scholarship to a local science college, where he has found a new life doing work study, which he gets exceptional pay for.He also has a friend group with multiple affectionate friendships, and finally has a place he feels like he belongs after years of trying to fit into places he did not. In past times of his life, he always repressed his true personality, but has finally found the ability to let his true self out and show who he really is.

Why did I spend so much of my life waiting? Like, repressing myself and trying to fit in where I don't? I guess I couldn't do anything else given the circumstances. I was with 5 different families after I left the monastery and I didn't fit in a single one.Gosh that was a painful time.Am I thankful for being kicked out of places? I feel like it would have been so much more difficult if I hadn't. I would have been forced to fit in, and I would have lost myself.I'm so thankful that I am in a place where I can be happy now. I'm lucky. It's hard to look back though, the past is painful and there's nothing I can do to change it. Though I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.I just need to remind myself that I am in a good place now, and I don't have to worry about the past anymore. It's gone. And from now on if I am not satisfied with something, I'm not waiting. I'm making the change I need.

I'll try to explain though. You are what is known as a parensapsen, a cat without any parents. You're different from the other orphans though, you were not given birth to.""How did I get here then?""That's the complicated part. Parensapsens are born during a rare event in a cave deep inside the surface of the planet. Rather than being given birth to like everyone else, parensapsens are manifested by a mystical energy. We don't know anything about it though.""Some people have claimed to witness the event and all describe it in a similar way. They say that a mystical blue light manifests in the cave, splitting off into arms that start building the body piece by piece. First the vital organs, then the bones, then the skin, before finally finishing and gently lowering the kitten to the floor and disappearing.""I- I have no parents?""Yes, we know you are a parensapsen because we have a member of the monastery sitting at the mouth of the cave at all times watching for emerging kittens."Waske goes silent."Don't worry about it too much, we're here for you. I know it's a lot to process but I think you were ready to find out. You would have eventually anyway, all parensapsens eventually develop an urge to learn about their origins, and combined with being prodigies results in them discovering their origin.""You could consider yourself a chosen one, you're very prodigious in everything you do and you're destined to do great things. All your peers have, so there's no reason you can't too."
